User description

Overwolf The guild for creators of in-game games, has released a new tool for modding creators to use in games such as Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and more the CurseForge API. This unique piece of software lets creators distribute their mods directly to their players. It also opens an entirely new set of possibilities for gamers to share their content online. This new system will allow creators greater control over their work, especially in relation to distribution via third-party platforms of their work. Authors are now able to accept distribution outside of CurseForge. This allows them to control how their content is distributed, and also protects the monetisation through the Authors Rewards points system. Modders are not the only ones to utilize the CurseForge API. The new terms of service agreement opens up the possibilities for users to use the system, bringing gaming community projects such as Discord bots mod managers, mod bots and more into the fold which will allow the system to grow and help gamers in a variety of ways. CurseForge API already approves 217 applications including 42 bots and 25 analytics tools. There are also nine general modding tools and 11 modpack creation tools. The list is, of course, growing exponentially as more users become familiar with the software. If you'd like to sign up to use the platform it is possible to do so here.
